OK, we will have to do laundry eventually. You can wear clothing for a few days in a row, especially if you are rather sedentary. However, if you are walking a lot, climbing stairs, and frequenting fragrant, smoke-filled restaurants, you may need to launder your clothing more often. Here on campus we have a laundry room with acceptable equipment, but it is a few blocks away from our apartment. We have opted to do what quite a few of the Athenians do - wash in your apartment and dry on the balcony. In fact, our apartment was furnished with a nice drying rack similar to all the others we have seen. In the dry, warm air the clothes dry within a day. I have also hung things on the balcony to simply air out, as well.
