It would seem that Athenians buy their food in small quantities which facilitates their fresh food choices and cooking. I have noticed a few things about Greek food: simple, pure flavors instead of complex recipes, little spice and even less salt, and not a lot of hot-spicy flavors. This really allows one to savor the fresh ingredients. Definitely a healthy way to eat.
